2011 Air Show shots

27 Jun ’11 by Ben

I actually went to quonset on Sunday for the (record setting attendance/”sold out”) airshow.  It was my first time going -vs- watching from either the beach near our house or by boat, which was awesome.  I had Elias with me and this was during his nap time so he eventually hit his limit and asked […]

Air Show BBQ 2011

27 Jun ’11 by Ben

We had our annual air show BBQ this weekend.  It was a ton of fun.  He had about 15 adults this year with somewhere around 10 kids.  The kids had just as much fun as the adults running around our yard and our neighbors yard as well as the house.  The adults got to enjoy a nice […]

Beavertail 6.18.2011

20 Jun ’11 by Ben

My sister was in town over the weekend so I dragged her out on the one “partly cloudy” morning which turned into a total gray ugly morning, but we still made the best of it and had some fun.  We decided to go to Beavertail as she loves lighthouses (who doesn’t) and it’s the easiest […]

Aunt Jess & Uncle Ben came over!

19 Jun ’11 by Ben

We had a great weekend this weekend with Aunt Jess and Uncle Ben flying in to Rhode Island for the weekend.  We hosted dinner at our house both on Thursday night (when they flew in) and Saturday night (their last night here) in our back yard which made it a ton of fun as we […]

J regatta!

19 Jun ’11 by Ben

The Js put on an awesome show in Newport for 5 days wrapping up this weekend.  I was able to get out for one day on Saturday and watch 2 races (Friday’s was postponed/cancelled and raced Saturday).  It’s amazing seeing 2 boat of this size and speed race INSIDE Narragansett bay.

What the Hell…..

12 Jun ’11 by Ben

Yeah, ummm…. Elias can repeat just about anything we say at this point!  Whoops!  And this one can’t be blamed on me!  We were driving home from the grocery store tonight and a pick up truck stopped in the middle of the road.  Nikki said: “What the Hell?” and Elias turned around and repeated it… […]

Stepping Stone

12 Jun ’11 by Ben

Went to Stepstone Falls this morning.  What a crappy morning to force myself out of bed (pouring rain).  But I checked the radar and it looked like it should clear so I headed out anyway.  Sat in the car for an hour reading Outdoor Photographer (mail was still in the car) and the rain stopped […]

Gooseberry 6.5.2011

8 Jun ’11 by Ben

Made it out to Gooseberry again this past weekend.  It was nice to get out of the woods literally, but the sunrise was a blow-out/bluebird so it actually would have been a better stream/waterfall morning, but you can’t win them all.  There was a ton of weed there this trip and hardly any wind so […]

Bumpa and Ganny are home!

6 Jun ’11 by Ben

Well my parents are finally home from Antigua for the winter!  That meant Elias and I got to go down to the boat Wednesday night so Elias could see them (they called a half an hour from the dock during tub time).  We all then went down the next night so Mom and Dad could […]

Purgatory 5.28.2011

31 May ’11 by Ben

Andy and I trekked up to Purgatory Falls up in NH on Saturday.  This was another 2am start, which is painful, but ultimately worth it.  The mosquitoes were also the size of humming birds up here, but in the end I think I brought home some worthwhile images.  We spent most of the morning at the lower […]

unexplained origins….

30 May ’11 by Ben

Well this week was quite interesting… Isabella had a fever Tuesday morning.  Nikki called the pediatrician and took her in.  They really couldn’t find anything obviously wrong with her so it was officially a fever of unexplained origins…  At her age (<2 month, just, she’s now over 2 months!) that meant a trip to Hasbro […]

Enders Falls 5.22.2011

25 May ’11 by Ben

Made it out to Enders Falls Sunday AM with Andy and Dave.  Spring sunrises there are both beautiful and torture at the same time.  The beauty is in the amount of water with everything turning green and cleaning itself up.  The torture is that this is over 2 hours from my house and spring sunrises […]

9th Isabella update!

23 May ’11 by Ben

Another great week with both kids.  Isabella is 8 weeks old today.  She just keeps getting bigger and bigger and is still a great baby!  Elias is asking more and more questions.  Every where we go he asks why and which way etc.  We had a pretty slow weekend this weekend, Elias and I did […]

8th IJJ Update:

16 May ’11 by Ben

Not a whole heck of a lot to report this week, and that’s a good thing!  Isabella is getting big and is still VERY relaxed.  She’s smiling more and more which is adorable.  We’ve all been enjoying her, including Elias.  He’s doing well but is VERY talkative and questions EVERYTHING these days.  Most of the […]

Hazard 5.15.2011

15 May ’11 by Ben

Got out to Hazard again this weekend.  The weather was tricky and was actually raining this morning, but it was SUPER clear Friday night, so I gambled and went for Sunday knowing it could be washed out…  Saturday’s sunrise didn’t look too amazing from the house, and the overcast/clouds made for some decent shots, so […]
