About Me

I am a father, husband, skier, sailor and photographer, just about in that order!  I’ve been interested in photography ever since I was a little kid.  My interest developed in high school when I took my first course.  From there I went on to get a degree in photography just to get access to the darkroom!  I’ve been shooting what I love doing the entire time.  I’m constantly outside making landscape and travel photography my primary subjects.  I love getting out in the mornings before the sun is up, finding an amazing location and watching Mother Nature put on her best show.  Exploring new places and sharing them is why I do this.  For me landscape photography is about capturing the right light in the right location.

I love teaching people about photography.  Feel free to ask me any questions you’d like or take a workshop.  I try not to be too obsessive about gear, but it’s hard not to talk about it when you’re using it as often as I am.  I review gear of products I own myself.  All of the images you see on this site are available for purchase.  Please visit my pricing page for more information.

Support Me

If you would like to support me, there are a few ways to do so.  The best way would be to buy some prints from me.  ANY image you see on this site is available for sale.  The easiest way to order a print is to get in touch with me and tell me what you’re after.

Another very easy way to support either of my sites is to use my affiliate links.  I’m affiliated with B&H, Amazon, and ThinkTankPhoto.  These are vendors that were my sources for quality products long before the affiliate options became available, so don’t think I’m pushing you towards them just for my gain.  I use these sites for my own gear all the time.  You can use those links to order anything they sell, so if you’re shopping at those sites for non photo related items, please fell free to use my links as well.  All you have to do is click the links above in bold to get to their site, then shop as you normally should and I’ll get the credit.

Workshops

Photography workshops are a lot of fun, whether it’s one on one or in a group.  You will walk away with new skills to help you take your outdoor photography to the next level.  My workshops are primarily held in coastal Rhode Island or in the neighboring woods.  Some popular options are Sachuest, Beavertail, and Narragansett.  We can focus on one location or cover a few locations throughout the course of the day.  I will shoot alongside you in most cases in an instructional sense, so you can see how I would photograph the various scenes.

After completing one of my workshops, you will walk away with the skills to make dynamic images with depth, sharpness and impact.  All workshops are set up on an individual basis and designed around where you want to shoot and what you’d like to learn.  Please use the contact form at the bottom of the page to email me so we can schedule something.  Rates start at $200 for an individual sunrise or sunset session and $400 for a full day (sunset and sunrise).  Group workshops are based on +$100 for the first additional person, +$75 for the second and +$50 for the third.

Architectural Photography

I truly love architectural photography.  I’ve been interested in architecture since I was young and it’s a natural extension of landscape photography for me.  I am available for both architectural and real estate photography, and you can see examples in my portfolio here.  I strive to get you the images you need to show off projects, land new clients and get buyers in the door.  I can apply these skills to newly finished projects, houses for sale and even boats.  No project is too big or too small.  My clients are constantly amazed by how quickly I work as well as the results I provide.

My rates for architectural photography are $150/hr, $500 for a half day and $750 for a full day.  Anything in Rhode Island has no travel costs involved, and I’m willing to travel further for a small fee.  Images are processed within a week (and can be “rushed” if necessary) and delivered electronically as both web resolution files and full resolution images ready for print.  Please email me or use the contact form at the bottom of the page to get in touch!

Prints & Canvases

All of my images are available as either prints or canvases.  Prints are sold as just that, a printed image with no mat or frame, because frames and mats are a matter of personal preference.  Canvases can either have the image wrapped around the edge or a solid black edge.  Please email me (my contact information is at the bottom of this page) which image you’d like and in what size and I can get everything set up for you.  If you’d like to purchase a file email me with the details (size and how you’re going to use it) and I’ll reply with a quote.
