We were lucky enough to make it down to Antigua last week to visit my parents on the boat. We had a blast. This is Elias third trip there but Bella’s first. Elias snorkeled for his first time and LOVED it, Bella swap and LOVED the beach. Elias had tubes at that age so he […]
Pillow fight at Bumpa and Ganny’s! Whenever we go over there for dinner we wrap up the night with a pillow fight. Elias is getting really good at dodging and Bella is starting to really get in on the fun as well. We’ve also got some pics in here from taking Elias to Wachusett last […]
Yes, I do this ever year. So do most other photographers and bloggers. So it’s 1/1/2014 and here’s my 2013 year end review post! I’ve included my favorite image from each month. No these probably aren’t my 12 best images because that’s too easy! These are my 12 personal favorite images… There’s some stats at […]
We’ve had a great last week with both Christmas and New Years coming and going faster than we’d like. Elias was back in school today but already knows tomorrow is a snow day!… I ended up getting the flu the week before Christmas and developed pneumonia as well so I’ve been a bit slowed down […]
I’ve still been working on a PAD for 2013. It certainly hasn’t been daily and the posts are way behind but this is a catchup post to get everything current to December. I found a bunch of these going through lightroom today to find the images for my 2013 review thread. Enjoy!
Had a great thanksgiving weekend last weekend. The whole family had 4 days off and we enjoyed it. We had 2 thanksgiving dinners, tons of leftovers and even got out to get a tree. We avoided black friday (but did get lights for the house that day) and just had a great time relaxing. We […]
Got out shooting twice over the last two weekends. Last weekend David Simms and I headed to Sakonnet Point to shoot the lighthouse from Lloyd’s Beach. That’s one of my favorite beaches! The wind was brutal but we were still able to come home with some keepers. This weekend I tried to shoot the windmill […]
What’s to say about the retro 7? Well, first make sure you’ve read and watched my retro 10 and retro 5 reviews! Why? Well because the retro 7 is basically a retro 10 with 1~2″ of the space from the camera compartment taken to make space for a padded iPad/macbook Air compartment. Yes you can […]
I recently did a sailboat delivery from Myrtle Beach SC to the Bahamas. I’ve been wanting a pelican case for my gear around the house for a while now (to keep kids/dust/dirt out of it) and I figured this trip was the perfect excuse to finally bite the bullet and order the 1514 (the version […]
Alright, so I got my XE2 friday night and have shot with it all weekend. I also got my 23mm 1.4 at the same time so a large portion of my “dream” small camera system (I prefer EVIL, thankyouverymuch) has now arrived. Once the 10-24 and 56mm arrive I’ll be all set. Anyway, here’s a […]
Went up to Mount Washington yesterday for a quick hike. I had some things to test and review and also wanted to get out for a hike. I managed to make it up lions head to the summit in 2:07 and the round trip coming down tuckerman’s was 4:02! Enjoy the images:
AKA Daddy daycare!!! Nikki had to work Columbus day this year and with the kids in school now they’re closed for holidays. So we took a trip to Fisherville for a great adventure hike around the pond in the AM followed by a trip to Hull’s cover in the afternoon to throw rocks in the […]
Went to Wachusett with Elias last weekend. Had a great time and Elias no longer uses an “edgy wedgie”. We skied almost all day (9-4pm). This past weekend we had easter at the house and celebrated my birthday as well as Isabella’s Sunday. It was a great time.
Call them EVILs (Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens), CSCs (compact system cameras) or MILKs (mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras), but these cameras all have a few things in common. They’re small, and they’re meant to replace your big camera to a certain extent. Yes some people are stepping up to these cameras from a P&S, but for the most part anyone […]
