Every year I sit down and make a “best of” post for my photography for the year. It’s been a great year and I’ve got a TON of images to choose from this year. Actually, I couldn’t narrow it down to just 12 so I’ve got a gallery at the bottom with ALL the highlight, […]
Well this is about as on time as you’ll see a PAD post from me!!! Happy new year everyone. We had a great December with lots of family get togethers and of course Christmas. The kids had an amazing time with Santa paying a visit to both of them. They were beyond excited. Enjoy.
I made it out for a last minute sunset tonight. I was actually running when I saw the sky beginning to look promising. I ran back home, grabbed my kit and drove out to beavertail just in time to catch an amazing light show.
Made it out to Beavertail this morning. The wind was howling but I wanted to shoot badly enough I didn’t let that stop me. It did however lead to a few soft shots thanks to the camera moving around a bit. It was still worth the effort as I was able to explore the west […]
We had an amazing end to November here in the Jacobsen house! Thursday was Thanksgiving where we enjoyed an amazing meal with family. Friday was Nikki’s 37th b-day where we enjoyed a second turkey feast with my parents and hers as well as our good friend Ruleo from Antigua. We also did some major “Black […]
Made it out to Beavertail tonight for a quick sunset shoot. We walked there earlier with the kids and I was spying on the awesome areas down on the water. Sunset lit up wonderfully for about ~5 minutes 20 minutes after the sun had actually set. Enjoy!
Made it up to Pomham Lighthouse Sunday morning with Paul Berry and David Simms. Sunrise is basically behind you when you shoot here in the AM but we tried anyway. We got lucky with some great clouds to the north over the tanker. Not ideal but always fun to be out shooting. Enjoy!
Made it out to Point Judith Last Sunday. Had fun shooting from Camp Cronin and then made the walk down to the light itself. Sunrise wasn’t anything amazing as we actually never saw the sun itself. Royston Kane, David Simms and Paul Berry joined me. Enjoy!
On the way to photo expo we always shoot a sunrise of some sort. This year the weather tried to damped our spirits in NYC as it was raining AND windy! I can deal with one or the other but once you have both the lenses get wet and you can’t get great shots. […]
Made it down to Watch Hill lighthouse with my good friend Andrew Stockwell back in the beginning of October. The sunrise itself was a blown out bluebird affair but I was able to get a great silhouette shot before the sun actually rose with an amazing red sky. Interestingly enough, once the sun had just […]
