HEY!!! There’s a banana on your trunk!?!!

Well it’s been a quiet week this week.  Last week Moseley ended up snapping at Elias so we were forced to take him back to the shelter we got him from.  We couldn’t risk anything worse happening (it left a tiny mark on Elias’ forearm and Elias provoked him, but it could happen again and be much worse so we couldn’t risk it).  W/o Moseley in the house, it has been nice and quiet all week with just a 2 y/o running around crazy… This weekend was supposed to be my final ski trip of the season, but there weren’t enough customers on the bus so they canceled.  I wasn’t quite ready to hand up my skiis for the year, but that’s the way it goes.

Saturday we tried to sleep in, but Elias decided to get up before 7am!  He’s now sleeping in his “big boy bed” upstairs (which is a normal adult single).  He likes it, but it means he can get up and walk around as he sees fit.  This means he comes to the top of the stairs to yell down to us in the mornings.  Funny, on work/daycare days he’s sound asleep when we have to go up, but on the days we want to sleep in he’s up bright and early….  We then went off to Goddard park for Elias first race (50m, he finished DFL) and Nikki and Andy ran a 5K.  It was COLD though as it was in the 40s but then quite windy.

Today I got up early and shot the sunrise, then went to BAP to take some shots for a new project they’re working on, then went of to Pop Pop and Gigi’s to help move the now dry couches back into their basement, then home.  I finally got out on my bike for the first time this year which felt great, then I shaved my beard.  Once Elias was up from his nap it was off to Bumpa and Ganny’s house for dinner where we had a great time as usual.  That wraps up another fun filled week for us!

and the banana part?  Nikki and I were driving to my parents house tonight with Elias in his seat in the back with the windows rolled down enjoying the warm weather…  We pulled up to a red light, an SUV pulled up next to us and the lady driving said: “Hey, there’s a banana on your trunk!”…  Sure enough, I look in the mirror and there sits the banana Nikki had left on the roof when we left the house!
