Well, Adorama finally got LX3s back in stock again.  I actually ordered this almost 2 months ago (I ordered it late January).  I’m somewhat torn as to even opening it.  I had my samsung NV-10 which was a terrible P&S but it did what I needed a P&S to do.  But it broke skiing (pushed the on/off button as I was putting it in it’s case, it wasn’t smart enough to not open and it stripped it’s lens gear).  So I’ve been w/o a real P&S for 2 months now, but I have had the GoPro which has been a ton of fun and gone skiing with me every time since the NV-10 shit the bed.  BUT!!!  The gopro is great for action shots, but being a FE and such and awkward shape, I only use it when mounted to something and never just shoot it.  So I’ll be using this LX3 as my P&S for when I don’t want to bring the DSLR and when the gopro won’t work.  My basic concern is just how often will that be?  It does offer f/2.0 and a 24mm lens which is very promising.  It’s also got usable ISOs.
