Well we had our baby shower this weekend. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Debbie (Nikki’s Mom if somehow you’re reading this and don’t know) and Katie (Nikki’s best friend from forever!) and the 3 Aunts, Pat, Tina and Ansoo for putting this together. All I’m taking any credit for at all is taking these pictures (and I’m hoping to get pictures from anyone willing to share to add to the site) and for getting Nikki there (late)! Debbie, Katie and I had been emailing for a few weeks setting up how we’d get Nikki there w/o her knowing what was up. The plan that we eventually settled on was that Nikki’s friend Kristen would invite us to Brick Alley Pub for lunch. Well that worked and when we arrived Kristen was waiting for us outside. We all went into the hostess who suggested we sit upstairs. Nikki was so excited to see Kristen even that didn’t set off any alarms and up we went. We rounded the corner to a giant SURPRISE!!!!! and Nikki had no clue. (That’s twice in 3 months, great work Debbie and Katie as they also did the surprise 30th Bday party!). It was a great afternoon filled with family, friends, awesome food (including Lobster Newberg and Prime Rib) and a giant pile of presents. Nikki and I are pretty well set for the baby to get here now!!! Well, not quite, I now have to get all these awesome gifts put together and in their proper places (including getting the baby seats installed). In the end it only took 3 cars to get everything home. Nikki and I had the MINI and fit all the gift bags. Katie and Matt had their SUV and took a trunk full of bigger items, then Andy took the 4 biggest boxes in his forerunner and brought them over today after work.
