It must be getting close to Christmas!

Well I always know when it’s almost Christmas because we need to go murder a tree, drag it in the house and dress it up (how humiliating lol)… Nikki and I had a great time Saturday going out to Big John Leyden’s tree farm is West Greenwich RI. Make sure you check out the link, because that’s big John, and he’s there every year. We were a bit disappointed that he didn’t greet us this year, but he did have someone their to help us find the perfect tree. And it’s not that Big John wasn’t there, he was just off helping other people. We found the perfect little tree.

Nikki spotted a birds nest in it as she check to make sure it was perfect. Don’t worry, it was long since abandoned (the chewed up squirrel nuts gave that away!). We figured that meant it was a perfect tree if a bird would pick it out of an entire forest… So we had them cut it down and wrap it up. We had to hand write out $5 off coupon because once again our printer was out of ink (it’s become a tradition with us). They accepted it w/o question so it was $35. Not bad for a fresh cut tree from the man himself. We’ve moved the tree to the front corner of the house. In the room with the tiled floors if you know the house. It’s now up with some new LED lights (and some old incandescents too) and looking fantastic. Now we just need the presents to go with it!
