Picked up at canon 17-40mm f4 L. I’m not happy with my Sigma 12-24mm on the FF. It was the perfect lens on the 1.3 bodies, but it’s too wide and not sharp enough for FF IMHO. I also tend to only shoot it at 12mm with certainly doesn’t help. We’ll see how the 17-40L goes, but it’s an impressive lens right out of the box build wise. It’s hood is a bit ridiculous though.

I also modified a 24L hood for this lens as the stock hood is a reused part (it’s shared with the 10-22 and 16-35) and is much wider than it needs to be.  It’s a PITA to put in a bag and doesn’t block as much light as it should.
