Beavertail Sunset 11-23-2014
Made it out to Beavertail tonight for a quick sunset shoot. We walked there earlier with the kids and I was spying on the awesome areas down on the water. Sunset lit up wonderfully for about ~5 minutes 20 minutes after the sun had actually set. Enjoy!

Black Point 11.22.2014
Made it out for sunrise at Black Point Saturday morning. I was up early enough to shoot some stars and actually got VERY lucky and got the shot below which includes a shooting star! Enjoy.

Pomham Lighthouse
Made it up to Pomham Lighthouse Sunday morning with Paul Berry and David Simms. Sunrise is basically behind you when you shoot here in the AM but we tried anyway. We got lucky with some great clouds to the north over the tanker. Not ideal but always fun to be out shooting. Enjoy!

Point Judith 11.9.2014
Made it out to Point Judith Last Sunday. Had fun shooting from Camp Cronin and then made the walk down to the light itself. Sunrise wasn’t anything amazing as we actually never saw the sun itself. Royston Kane, David Simms and Paul Berry joined me. Enjoy!

Bash Bish Falls 11.1.2014
On the way to photo expo we always shoot a sunrise of some sort. This year the weather tried to damped our spirits in NYC as it was raining AND windy! I can deal with one or the other but once you have both the lenses get wet and you can’t get great shots. …

Watch Hill 10.1.2014
Made it down to Watch Hill lighthouse with my good friend Andrew Stockwell back in the beginning of October. The sunrise itself was a blown out bluebird affair but I was able to get a great silhouette shot before the sun actually rose with an amazing red sky. Interestingly enough, once the sun had just…

Hazard 9.1.2014
These photos haven’t been posted yet because they’re in memory of a very close friend of mine, Jeff Swanson. Jeff lost his battle with cancer this summer. He was a great photo friend of mine and shared this exact spot with me ages ago. If you’ve followed my blog for long you know I deal…

Photo Expo 2014
Photo expo is always a lot of fun. I went with David Simms and Andy Stockwell this year. The show is always fun as it’s a place where you can get your hands on just about anything and see it w/o a pushy salesperson trying to get you to buy it. You can also…

Block Island 2014
Nikki and I were lucky enough to make it out to Block Island in August. Both our parents took a kid and my parents were kind enough to loan us the motorboat. It was great to get some adult time and have some great conversations. We also had a nice run out to North Light…

Mount Washington with Nikki!
Finally made it up Mount Washington with Nikki! She and I haven’t been able to hike together since we lived in Montana! She’s been, I’ve been, just not together. So she and I put Mount Washington on the calendar for last weekend and finally made it! We made it to the summit via Lion’s…

The Fuji switch part II: Weddings…
Welcome to the second part of my fuji X-T1 camera review. This post will focus primarily on how the X-T1 performs while shooting weddings. Part I of the review (which focuses on landscape photography) is here. I broke the review up into two sections because the two genres are quite different and I figured it’d be…
