MOOOOOOO CARDS!!!!

Just got a few things in today.  Moo cards are something I’d heard of before coming from flickr.  They’re actually an independent company that just has the ability to use your flickr images to make cards (that’s how I did these).  They’re from London but have a US “base” that just happens to be in RI (Providence).  These cards are slightly narrower than a normal business card, but I actually prefer that anyway (as you can see I only have my URL, phone number and email on them).  You pick up to 100 images for the back of 100 cards (I ended up with a few less than 50 images so most are doubled up and a few tripled).  These things are GORGEOUS!  The stock is great, the box looks awesome, the entire thing is very well done and they will be handling my cards from now on!  My only complaint is I have my images on flickr “framed” and a few edges are white on the cards because of this.  I thought the white was far enough into the bleed but I guess not.  That’s my fault for using framed images though, no theirs.

I also got a SB-24 today used from KEH.  It’s full manual basically, but I need to get cracking on my off camera flash and manual will FORCE me to learn ratios all over again.  I really need to get a second one but I figured I’d start small and prove I’ll use it.  It works with my canon off camera cord in manual as well as my 301P ebay wireless poppers so I have plenty of off camera options (it also works in auto mode in the hot shot, but BASIC Auto, not ETTL).

And finally, I got a TT skin 50 today as well.  It’s a small accessory bag for my filters.  I use cokin X-pro filters which are not small and take a LOT of space in my bag.  I also move them in and out of my landscaping bag each weekend for the sunrises so I figured it’d be smart to have them in their own bag to make it harder to forget anything.
