EAJ 123 week update
Had a busy week this week. I taught a landscape photography class which meant I was teaching Thursday from 6-9 as well as Saturday from 6am-noon and 3pm-6pm (if we do it again that will change). Beyond that we went to Katie and Matt and Hayden and Nolan’s Saturday night to watch Toy Story…

AdventureScapes!
I got the chance to teach a class on landscape photography this past week. Andy and I taught it together and I know I had a blast doing it. If we get the chance to do it again I’m sure we’ll rework a few things to improve it, but the students all seemed to enjoy…

NovemBEARD!!!
Yep, it’s that time again. So if you see what looks like scruff on my face it’s a “beard”. No, really, it is. Also, Elias is learning how to take pictures with my camera now which has been fun. It started a few weeks ago with him holding the camera to his face, eyes closed…

Beavertail 11.6.2010
Made it out to Beavertail for what’s probably the latest sunrise of the year. The surf was quite high and there were plenty of clouds but there really wasn’t much color. We still had four people in the group though and had a great morning.

Calendar Shots.
Putting together the calendar for the year, these are the ~45 shots I’m picking from.

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween everyone! Elias and I had a great time going trick -or- treating tonight. Elias was Buzz and I went as woody. About 1/4 of the people recognized me, but half or more knew what Elias was. I think most of the hander-outers didn’t think I was dressed up? My parents also left Thursday…

Devil’s Hopyard
Andy and I made it out to Devil’s Hopyard for our Halloween morning shoot. I was pleasantly surprised by this location. Not only was it a great place to shoot, but the drive in was an amazingly fun road to drive on, twisty, hilly, smooth, tight, it had all the elements of a great drive.…

NYC Photo Walk!
After Photoplus, 3 of the 4 guys who went to the show with me had time to walk around NYC a bit and shoot, so we walked back to Penn, trained down to Canal, walked over the the Brooklyn Bridge, trained up to Grand Central, then walked back to Time Square. All in all we…

PhotoExpo 2010
I went down to Javits yesterday to go to photoexpo for the first time. It was a “working” trip for the forum and gear reviews basically, but a lot of fun. I met up with 4 of the NSOP guys as well and we hit up the show from 10am until 3pm, then 4 of…

Potty Pooper!
… and no, that’s not me writing something with a RI accent… Elias is now pooping in the potty most of the time. He’s had a few accidents here and there but he’s now asking to use the potty when it’s convenient for him (ie he’s not playing). We had a chart going where 5…

Old Furnace 10.23.2010
Went out to CT to hit up Old Furnace State Park this morning. We had 4 people show up which is a pretty good group. The sun is coming up around 7am which makes it a bit more reasonable time wise. We hiked up to a great lookout about 500′ up which gave us some…

Cordtsendesign 10.18.2010
I’ve been working with Spencer a bit the last week or so. It’s been great to get out shooting some more architecture. I’ve been a bit behind on my processing so this post has 2 days worth of shooting. Enjoy.

Beavertail 10.21.2010
Made it down to Beavertail for the first time in a long time. The clouds looked amazing on the way down there but they were a bit too far offshore to really be amazing in pictures. There were a bunch of people on the rocks on the west side as well making it hard to…

Green Falls Pond 10.20.2010
Made it out to Green Falls Pond for the first time this morning. The TS-E I’d borrowed from canon needed to be shipped today so I wanted one last go with it. This was a great place and the colors were pretty well at peak which was great.

ThinkTank Sling-O-Matic Video Review:
The think tank sling -O- matic 20 is a mouthful, let me start with that! I will say this is the most impressive sling bag I’ve tried to date, and that’s a long list (incase DLSR sling, LowePro classifieds (both sizes), Kata 3n1-30). If you want a killer sling that’s well thought out, this is…
