Salt Lake City!!!
My sister was nice enough to fly me out to visit last week. I had a blast. I got to ski Park City with Jess, Ben and Jess’ boss Monday. Tuesday I got to fly with Ben in chopper 5, then Jess got both her knees done. She proceeded to kick us both out of…

Point Judith 4.7.2012
Went down to Point Judith Saturday morning to grab another lighthouse. Sky was pretty much bluebird, but I grabbed one good shot of the lighthouse before the sun came up. The full moon set behind was also amazing to watch. Enjoy.

Tuckerman’s revisit…
I think I’m hooked. I left the house at 10pm last night, drove to pinkham notch, slept in the parking lot for a few hours then hit the trail at 5am in hopes of bagging a sunrise over the ravine. Yeah, mother nature had other ideas….. but I still went for a great hike! …

Tuckermans 3.24.2012
Well, I finally got to ski Tuckerman’s this season! It was my fourth trip up in winter and I got four runs in. We were working on the same PBS project I’ve been working on all winter so we hiked with a group and had a lot of fun. I skied left chute then icefall…

Watch Hill Lighthouse 3.18.2012
Made it down to Watch Hill for a pretty amazing sunrise shoot. This is one of those shoots were I’m glad I don’t listen to the weather reports and I just go no-matter-what… Some fellow shooters told me afterwards that the forecast was for fog. And I DID see a bunch of fog on my…

Sakonnet 3.10.2012
Bryan and I headed down to Sakonnet this morning and froze our tails off. It wasn’t too cold, but it was blowing almost 20 and with the humidity it all made it quite brisk. I just wish I hadn’t left the gloves in the car… This is one of the 21 lighthouses in RI, I’m trying to…

Plum Beach Light and some extras!
Been a busy few days. Since I’m trying to make photography my full time gig now, I’m trying to get more shots of a lot of the landmarks in Rhode Island. It’s been pointed out to me that a lot of my shots are very similar in that they’ve got “water ‘n rocks” w/o much…

8 mile river 2.11.2012
Made it out to Devil’s Hopyard this past weekend for another sunrise. It was supposed to snow 4~6″ the night before and into the morning but we only had a dusting. It was still snowing the entire time we were there. I also recently picked up some waders for shooting in places like this and…

Tuckerman’s 1.28.2012
Dave and I tried to make it to Tuckerman’s again this past weekend. The weather was terrible (100+ MPH winds at the summit) and the avalanche conditions were even worse thanks to the rain that came Friday then froze on the surface. We still hiked up a bit (I skinned, he hiked) before officially…

Big River 1.21.2012
I got out shooting with Andy and Dave from NSOP last weekend. We hit up Big River during a snow storm. It was a great morning and one that proved to me that I need waders… The path here goes up the opposite side of the river. To cross we had to go all the…

Bahama Vacation 2012!
We were lucky enough to get to go visit my parents in the Bahamas last week. The entire family flew down which was not as bad as you’d think. Isabella was a doll in Elias’ car seat the entire time, even napping at her normal times. Elias did well also, but keeping a 3y/o entertained…

2011 in Review:
2011 was a pretty great yeah, I have to admit. Lets start by looking at some numbers: 110 blog posts (49 personal/PAD, 45 landscapes, 8 BJP, 8 gear reviews) 16,185 images shot (33% less than last year?!), 350gb 174 images uploaded to flickr 6,015 uploaded to my site spent more on prints than gear kept…

Last few landscapes of 2011:
Been shooting a bit since I got back from the delivery w/o much time to post. Sorry for the mass post, but I felt it was better to wrap up 2011 with ONE good post instead of three lesser posts from 3 different locations all at once… The first few part of this set is…

Bahama Scapes
While in the Bahamas after the trip south, I was able to shoot both the sunset the day we arrived and the sunrise the next morning (before I left). Leo and Peter were nice enough to come with me, which was crucial as you really need to pay attention to get the dinghy in and…

Tuckermans with SNOW!!!
yeah, but still not enough to ski… Dave and I went up to Tuckermans Ravine Saturday the 10th. We had great plans of an epic sunrise over the ravine as well as hermit lake. We left RI at midnight and Dave drove us “through the night” getting there at 4am. We then hiked in in…
