EAJ Week 84 update.
Well it’s been a busy week for being at home for a while. We’ve been traveling quite a bit lately with NY, Grandma’s and the wedding in CT so it was nice to be home for a weekend. I actually got to fix the bathroom sink even! Yesterday we had to take Elias to the…

Congrats Sara and Jim!
Well it’s been another weekend away. This time it was a wedding in Fairfield CT. We left Elias with Gigi and Pop Pop and Moseley with Ganny and Bumpa. Nikki and I blasted down to CT with just enough time to get ready (got there at 3:30, into our room by 3:45 with a 4:15…

Happy Columbus Day!
Yep, posting a day late, but only because it’s a 3 day weekend here. Nikki had it off all along, but I didn’t know until Friday around noonish. We had a busy weekend though. Saturday we went to Katie Hayden and Matt’s for dinner and had a blast. As the boys get closer in age…

Happy Birthday Great Grandma!
Well we took Elias for his first plane ride down to Myrtle Beach this weekend. His GREAT Grandmother had her 90th birthday (today actually) so we flew down for the weekend. Mom had flown down earlier, Dad flew down the same day, and Aunt Jess and Uncle Ben flew in a bit later (and are…

Adirondacks!
Went up to the Adirondacks this weekend. We went up with a group of friends from NSOP and had a blast. The sun didn’t really co-operate that much but the leaves did and the weather was pretty awesome Saturday. Had a great time shooting with Eric, Jerome, and Jeremy. These were all taken in the…

NSOP weekends!
Well this weekend was amazing. One of my good friends from my photo forum invited us up to his parent places in Speculator NY. We had a total of 9 adults and 4 kids there this weekend with the kids ages 9, 19, 22, and 28 months old. The older three had a blast with…

EAJ 80 week update:
Wow am I beat… Busy but great weekend. Yesterday was a sunrise (not great for shooting, maybe I’ll get to them tomorrow) then the boatshow with my parents. We saw ~3 cool boats at the show, the MINI (the ones they do the transat it), the arrowcat (a cool catamaran motorboat) and the pure dinghies…

IKEA!
Not much going on this week/weekend. We’d planned on going to Block Island with my parents but were rained out. So Saturday we went to Ikea and bought a few small things and drooled on a couch we’d love but will have to wait for (never mind that we have no way to get it…

Eye Infection?!
Well this week wasn’t much fun… Elias managed to get an eye infection. It was officially pre-orbital cellulitis. He gets very bad reactions to mosquitoes and one bit him close to his eye. That lead to an infection which made his lower eyelid swell shut. So he went to the Dr’s once, then the eye…

Lots -O- pics!
but I’m too beat to write about them… I rented a new camera this weekend. I’ve also been up every night all week checking out reviews and looking at pics just to make sure I make the right decision. Anyway, I ended up shooting a ton this weekend even though we got rained in yesterday. …

Hurricane Bill!
Well, this weekend hurricane Bill rolled through. We didn’t get much more than a few overnight showers and some wicked swell. The surf report said we’d get ~15′ swells around midnight Saturday into Sunday. Not sure what we officially got, but it was rather large. I actually went down and shot the waves at hazard…

Virus Elias?
Yeah, it almost rhymes even? Elias came down with something at the end of last weekend. Thank god our doctor has office hours weekends (the office has four doctors, each doctor takes every fourth weekend, both days, 9-noon). We were able to get Elias down to the doctor Sunday morning and found out he had…

Elias week 74 update:
This week we had a pool party sponsored by Elias’ daycare. It was Wednesday night and we had a great time even if a wicked thunderstorm rolled in. Nikki even decided to participate in their “pie” eating contest (it was pudding). Elias had a fun time and seemed VERY interested in the pool. There was…

Block Island
Well, while on the boat at Block Island this weekend I decided to get up for a sunrise and see what would happen. The biggest issue is you have to approach everything from the water side in the dinghy. Being alone, that made attempting a landing pretty sketchy, nevermind in the dark. I did try…

BLOCK ISLAND!!!
Yeah, so we FINALLY made it out to BLOCK ISLAND for a weekend on avalanche with Elias!!!! Last summer it seemed we just couldn’t get all the details (both schedules and feeling good about Elias sleeping on the boat) sorted out, and now this summer Dad has his surgery that has kept him a bit…
