Merry Christmas 2010
Merry Christmas Everyone!!! We had an eventful week. Elias had that stomach bug last weekend which he then shared with Nikki midweek and me Christmas Eve! Not fun! But I powered through it as best as I could. Elias made out like a bandit and we almost need a shovel to clean the front room…

EAJ 128 week update.
Well, Elias finally popped in the potty again this week! But just once… Seems his normal time is early AM so he often goes in his diaper at night, but we’ve been working on getting him to use the potty when he does need to go durning normal hours and finally had some more success…

Sachuest 12.19.2010
Got out to Sachuest today. It was nice and cold, but not cold enough for good ice quite yet. That’ll come, so it was nice to be able to shoot w/o needing gloves I suppose. It was a fun morning to be out shooting.

Ben’s tech straps!
I’ve been using straps like this for quite a while now. It started because I don’t like having anything on my camera that can scratch it (metal rings, strap buckles etc) as well as the fact a strap on a camera that’s set down on a table or counter with a kid in the house…

EAJ 127 week update.
Busy week this past week for me/us. I was at the refinery for work all week which meant when I did get into the office for part of a few days I was backed up with too much too do and not enough time. I also had an architecture shoot and a Christmas party as…

Newton Startrails 12.8.2010
Went down to Newton with Dave and Brian last night to try our hands at startrails. This is my first real attempt at them and I learned a TON. I can’t wait to try them some more now that I’ve got one set under my belt as I know the mistakes I made and now…

EAJ 126 week update!
Well, this week I have one of the funniest conversations I’ve heard in a long time to report. Elias is working on his potty training. He’s got #1 down for the most part, but #2 is still a work in progress… Well, one night this week he pooped in his underwear. So that was cleaned…

Castle Hill 12.5.2010
Made it out to Castle Hill this morning. The sky was only “OK” this morning but it was still great to be out shooting. It was a bit cold and windy but luckily I had been skiing yesterday and still had all my gear in the trunk of the car!!! It took thermals, a neck…

Happy 33rd Birthday Nikki!
Happy Birthday Honey! Been a great week this week with the short work week and loooong weekend. Elias has been doing very well with his potty training with only a few minor mistakes that are as much our fault as his (he’s not great at TELLING us he needs to go so we use timers but sometimes…

Allens Pond 11.28.2010
Made it out to Allens Pond in Massachusetts for the sunrise this morning. This was a new spot for me and one I’ll definitely return to as it’s got a great mix of “water ‘n rocks” in that there are the massive permanent rocks, then a lot of mobile rocks ranging from basketballs to golf ball size as…

Happy Thanksgiving!
The gang from NSOP decided a sunrise on thanksgiving would be fun, so 6 of us made it down to Beavertail this morning to shoot together. It was very fun, and mother natures played quite nice with us (it looked like it could be blue bird on the drive down). It was cold for the…

Happy Birthday Nikki?
Well, Nikki Pat and Russell!!! It was a three way b-day and the Stinton’s Sunday. They threw a great party for everyone which save us a TON of work, so a big thank you for that. We also went an picked out our Xmas Tree at Big John’s Saturday and I spent the afternoon raking…

Bass Rock Road 11.21.2010
Made it out to Bass Rock Road Sunday… The plan was to shoot with the group Saturday AM but I slept through my alarm… So I went on Sunday and got rewarded with a pretty good sunrise. Bass Rock is a tricky place to shoot so it was fun to work the area and find…

EAJ 123 week update
Had a busy week this week. I taught a landscape photography class which meant I was teaching Thursday from 6-9 as well as Saturday from 6am-noon and 3pm-6pm (if we do it again that will change). Beyond that we went to Katie and Matt and Hayden and Nolan’s Saturday night to watch Toy Story…

AdventureScapes!
I got the chance to teach a class on landscape photography this past week. Andy and I taught it together and I know I had a blast doing it. If we get the chance to do it again I’m sure we’ll rework a few things to improve it, but the students all seemed to enjoy…
