EAJ update 95
Lots of pics again this week. Elias has been sick all week and of course shared it with Nikki and then they shared it with me. Elias missed daycare all week with my mom helping 2 days and Debbie taking care of him Friday. It’s such a relief having both grandmothers this close! Elias also…

Beavertail 1.24.2010
Finally made it out on another sunrise shoot this morning. It feels like it’s been forever, but it’s only been two weeks. I’ve just been super busy lately and skiing more than I should so I skipped last weekend. But the forcast (and reality) for this morning was partly cloudy which is pretty much our…

New Gear: Panasonic GF1
I’ve been excited about micro four thirds cameras since olympus made their teaser announcement last year. The EP-1 didn’t excite me much as it’s slow to AF and not a great looking camera to me (I’m not big into retro anything). I’ve also been on the fence because this is moving to an even smaller…

Scarborough Beach 1.15.2010
I had one vacation day left from 2009 that needed to be used by Friday, so Friday it was. I wanted to get out and shoot something productive so I decided to take my 10-stop filter (think limo tint for cameras) out to the beach for a few shots then also visited Hazard Rd in…

EAJ update 94, AKA Croup!!!
Ugh, Elias had croup. He woke up late Friday night (almost midnight) barking/coughing like a seal… It’s nothing too serious but the medication for it is a steroid that causes mood swings and irritability (among other things, but we’ve seen both of those). He does NOT have an ear infection though, so apparently that issue…

Sachuest 1.10.2010
Got up early this morning and went to Sachuest with Eric. It was 9 degrees out and there weren’t many clouds so it was work to get some shots to make getting up worthwhile. I’m trying to get ~45 sunrises this year, so I didn’t want to miss one this early in the season.

Booooo football!
ugh, just got back from my parents house after watching the pack lose. At least they showed up, but to have them lose in OT was a bit rough to watch. Of course that came after watching the Pats lose miserably. Like REALLY bad. As for the rest of the week, I went skiing yesterday…

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone! It’s been another great year for us. Elias is getting more and more fun all the time. Photographically I’ve finished off another PAD project (photo a day) with almost all of the shots being taken of my favorite subject, ELIAS! I’ve also managed to update the blog 97 times in a…

GND filters
Last year I learned about GND (gradual Neutral Density) filters. I had owned a set for a while but never really used them. I then went on my first group shoot with my own photo forum and everyone had theirs in use that morning so I pulled mine out of the bag and was blown…

Ledge Road 1.2.2010
Went on the first landscape shoot of 2010. It was crap weather but I figured I’d go anyway as I’m trying for 45+ landsapes this year (I shot 39 in 2009) and didn’t want to miss the very first weekend. We actually had 5 guys in the group this morning as most felt the same…

Sakonnet Point Sunrise 12.31.2009
Went down and shot another Sakonnet Point sunrise this morning. I figured I’d get one last sunrise in for 2009 (this is something like 35 for the year!). Andy also had the day off so he and I had a good time shooting for a few hours before the snow rolled in (on the drive…
