as for a new camera, the D700 is KILLER but they&#039;re replacing it next month.  It&#039;s a rad camera, but it&#039;s now ~3 years old tech wise.  I know you&#039;re coming from a D100 though so it&#039;s lightyears beyond that.  If you wanted to stick with a crop body, the D7000 (three zeros) is also a hell of a body and less expensive and brand new.  The D700 is full frame, so it&#039;s sensor is the same size as a piece of film.</description>
